From October 13 to 16, 2025, the Azure Dev Summit took place at the FIL – Lisbon Exhibition and Congress Center. This community event, organized in collaboration with Microsoft, brought together thousands of developers, architects, and IT decision-makers for four days of knowledge, innovation, and hands-on workshops.
The event focused on Microsoft's latest developments in AI, Azure, .NET 9, and cloud architecture. With so many parallel sessions and intensive workshops, the organizers needed flexible, acoustically sound spaces where participants could work, learn, and present without interruption.
QuickSpace was asked to create these spaces quickly, using modular solutions that would fit in visually with a modern tech event.
The challenge: quiet meeting rooms within a busy event hall
A large part of the program consisted of:
- Technical deep-dive sessions
- Workshops with Azure OpenAI
- Architecture discussions
- Hands-on demos
- Small expert meetings
All these activities required acoustically insulated and comfortable spaces within one large hall.
The layout had to remain flexible and be quick to set up.
Our solution: Domes, a Cube acoustic walls
To provide optimal support for the event, QuickSpace installed the following structures:
Two large domes for presentations and interactive sessions
The Domes served as enclosed mini-theaters, ideal for presentations and technical talks.
Thanks to the excellent acoustics, speakers were able to present in peace, without noise from surrounding areas.
One Cube a compact workshop and meeting space
Perfect as a speaker room, expert meetings, and conferences.
The Cube a quiet, professional environment in the heart of the event hall.
Acoustic walls for clear zoning
Our modular walls were used to divide the hall into logical sections. This resulted in:
- Better routing and orientation
- Less sound transmission
- A sleek, uncluttered look
- Comfort for participants and speakers
The combination of Domes, Cube walling made it possible to create functional, visually appealing spaces within a few hours.
The result: focused sessions and a professional event flow
Throughout the event, the QuickSpace structures were used intensively for:
- Workshops on AI and cloud architecture
- Hands-on sessions with Azure OpenAI
- Breakout meetings
- Technical presentations
- Small-scale discussions with Microsoft engineers
The acoustic performance was positively noted by both visitors and the organization. Despite the hustle and bustle in the hall, the sessions remained quiet, audible, and pleasant to attend.
In addition, the rapid construction proved to be a major added value: within a few hours, an open hall was transformed into a fully functional conference zone.
The collaboration with the Azure Dev Summit organization Techonrama went smoothly, and QuickSpace once again demonstrated how modular design, acoustics, and aesthetics come together in a successful event environment.
